Wood is our true passion and purpose, and today represents our primary product.
In years past, our company produced vinyl wallcovering, developed acoustical and laminate products, and imported decorative materials from Europe and Asia – ventures that provided keen understanding and vast experience into the architectural and design world. Those efforts have been divested, re-started, and divested again.
The one constant throughout the decades has been manufacturing wood veneer.
Paper-Backed
Paper is our standard backing for “stress relieved” veneer sheets. Extremely curvable with no cracking, paper-backed veneer offers added strength and ease-of-use compared to raw faces.
SR Wood’s paper backer is latex impregnated, custom designed to meet our strict bonding standards. Additionally, our paper is manufactured from FSC® Certified pulp and meets all current emissions standards.
Applications include millwork, cabinetry, furniture & fixtures, interior design, automobiles, airplanes, boats, elevators & stairs, musical instruments, woodworking and printing.
Wood-Backed
SR Wood has been making “All Wood Edge” two-ply sheets since 1979. All wood, all the way to the edge while still being bendable. A great product for any woodworker who is concerned about the visible edges.
We utilize a whole-piece (no seams) back of similar color to match the architectural grade face. The glue line serves as a vapor barrier, making a product with no equal in the marketplace.
Applications include millwork, cabinetry, furniture & fixtures, elevators & staircases, and woodworking.
Laminate-Backed
Dura-Bull Polybak
Dura-Bull is our most versatile product. It has the strength of a phenolic backed laminate, can be post-formed like 20 mil paper, and works great with either water-based or solvent-based adhesive systems. This product has been celebrated by new craftsmen as well as seasoned professionals.
Dura-Bull features a poly-resin backing material. We include a strong glue barrier, making it very safe with today’s world friendly stains and finishes as well as vintage finishes.
Applications include millwork, cabinetry, furniture & fixtures, interior design, automobiles, planes, boats, elevators & staircases.
PSA-Backed
PSA-backed veneer offers easy installation without the mess of wet adhesives.
Our PSA-backed veneer is available with a 5 mil, 10 mil or 20 mil paper included.
